Google Pixel 7a confirmed to launch in India: All you need to know – Times of India

After months of rumours, Google has teased the arrival of its next phone, the Pixel 7a, in India. The Pixel 7a will launch in India on May 11, a day after its debut at Google I/O 2023.
Google Pixel 7a will be available for purchase through Flipkart in India. However, there is no word on when the Pixel 7a will go on sale in India, but we expect it to be made available soon after its launch.
“The latest phone engineered by Google. Launching 11.05.2023,” reads the teaser, while also giving a sneak peek at the Pixel 7a, suggesting the phone will have a design similar to the Pixel 7, 7 Pro, featuring the metallic camera.
Google Pixel 7a: Specifications, features, and price (expected)
According to the rumours that the upcoming Pixel 7a will be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, the same chipset that powers the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The phone will likely have a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, similar to its predecessor, but it might offer a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone is expected to feature a 64MP Sony IMX787 rear camera, along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it might come with the same old 8MP camera.
Moreover, the Pixel 7a is rumoured to boast a 4,410mAh battery. The phone is also expected to have wireless charging support. Further, the phone will retain its IP67 water resistance rating.
The Pixel 7a will come in three colours, Snow, Sea, and Coral, which is said to be Google Store exclusive.
Rumours are rife that the Pixel 7a will cost $499 (around Rs 40,860), $50 more than the Pixel 6a. The phone is expected to go on sale in the US immediately after its debut.
