For the unversed, Sunidhi tied the knot for the first time with choreographer-director, Bobby Khan back in 2002. However, things gradually turned out toxic in their relationship, leading to their split a year later. And now, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the ace singer reminisced the most difficult moments of her life, and shared how it helped her to emerge stronger than ever. In her words:

“I have made so many mistakes, like blunders. But I am thankful for those mistakes because I am the person I am because of those mistakes. Agar wo mistakes nahi hoti to main bahut boring hoti. I would have been deprived of the good things in life because once you touch the dark side, that’s when you come out of it and see the light. You need to go there.”

Sunidhi says she’s thankful for the bitter experience that showed a new way of life to her

Speaking more about her past, Sunidhi mentioned that she sometimes feels thankful that she went through such difficult hurdles in her life, as it was through these experiences that she got to know the better side of life that was waiting out there for her. She revealed that she knew she wasn’t in the correct place being in the marriage, but it was only after she finally came out of it that she felt exhilarated. She mentioned:

“I am only thankful to God for showing me, that too so early in life so much happened and it was all absolutely blissful. When I was in it, I was still having a good time because I knew I was in the wrong place. But I was enjoying that because I knew that wrong place was not going to be there for a longer time. I was going to get out of it. So, now that I am out of it, I have been out of it since many years, I don’t look back at that. But if at all, somebody speaks about it, then I am only looking at it as something that only helped me in turning into a better person.”

When Sunidhi Chauhan revealed that many of her hit songs were a result of her bad voice

Well, agree or not, Sunidhi Chauhan has mesmerised audiences with her husky and powerful tone of voice, which simply stands different from the rest. However, in one of her previous interviews with Firstpost, Sunidhi had shared that a significant number of her hit songs were actually a result of her bad voice. Spilling more beans on it, she had said:

“If I do have a very bad throat and I know I am going to have a hard time singing, that’s the only time I pray a little (laughs) that I hope I am able to get through this recording because sometimes I don’t want to say that, my voice is not in a good condition. I take it up as a challenge and I want to sing in that bad voice. And you won’t believe but many of my songs, which are huge hits today, they were sung in a very bad voice. So, I don’t believe in that and just go ahead and sing.”
