K-Drama, 'Business Proposal' Set For Indian Remake, Lead Actor, Ahn Hyo Seop Says, 'I Would Love...'

The K-drama, Business Proposal was an instant hit among the audience when it was released in 2022. The romance between the two lead couples and the camaraderie of the two female leads was simply unmissable. There was never a dull moment in the 12-episode-long romcom series. Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se Jeong, Kim Min Kyu, and Seol In Ah, are the four leads in the show, whose impeccable acting skills made Business Proposal one of the most-watched K-dramas of all time.

After getting an immense viewership, there were several reports that the popular K-drama might get an Indian remake as well. It was reported to be in Telegu and Hindi language. The storyline will be the same as the original South Korean drama. For those of you who don’t know, Business Proposal is based on a webtoon by the same name.

Ahn Hyo Seop is very excited to watch the Indian remake of Business Proposal

Recently, in an exclusive interview with India Today, the first male lead of the K-drama, Business Proposal, Ahn Hyo Seop, talked about the drama being remade in India. He portrays the role of ‘Kang Tae Moo’ in the drama. Hyo Seop’s fame increased by manifolds after his leading role in the popular K-drama. He opened up about his excitement in the interview and shared that he would love to watch the Indian remake. He said:

“I’m incredibly happy that ‘Business Proposal’ will be remade in India because that means that the original series resonated a lot with the audience in India, and I would love to watch the remake one day.”

Ahn Hyo Seop would love to visit India

When Hyo Seop was asked in the same interview if he would ever want to visit India, he mentioned that he would love to visit the country, and he is glad that his drama resonated so much with the Indian audience. Ahn Hyo Seop said:

“I would love to visit India. Even as I speak at this moment for this interview, I’m so excited and grateful that there will be people in India listening to what I have to say.”

Even ‘Shin Ha Ri’ of Business Proposal, aka Kim Se Jeong loves India

Not just Ahn Hyo Seop, but his lady love in the drama, ‘Shin Ha Ri’, aka Kim Se Jeong, also recently opened up about her love for India. In an interview with The Indian Express, Sejeong talked about her love for Indian food and her wish to work in Bollywood films someday. She said:

“India’s landscapes and culture are incredibly captivating, and I’m drawn to the idea of immersing myself in its rich heritage. I also love Indian cuisine, particularly curry, and other dishes, and I’m curious to try the local dishes and see what it tastes like.”

The Business Proposal actress also shared that she has a special place for Bollywood movies because of their uniqueness. She said:

“The uniqueness of Bollywood films has always interested me, so if the opportunity arises, I would love to be a part of Bollywood movies as well.”

The producer of Business Proposal had said that there’s going to be a remake of the K-drama in Hindi and Telegu

Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, the co-founder and president of Kross Pictures, which produced the K-drama, Business Proposal, talked to Femina about remaking the drama in India. He disclosed that several producers had approached him regarding remaking the K-drama in India. He said:

“Many companies have already approached me, so it will be announced soon. Perhaps the first one might come out in Telugu and I think Hindi will follow. So already there are a lot of talks, a lot of propositions. So, yes, that’s something that I’m already working on.”
