Meanwhile the new mom Paetongtarn, who is popularly called as Ung Ing by her supporters, is among the top two choices for the Prime Minister post according to recent polls. Many credit this popularity to her famous surname, Shinawatra.
Women leaders have always been a role model for millions of young girls the way they balance their work life, commitment to the nation and personal life.
In 2018 when New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gave birth to a baby girl, she became one of the first such leaders in three decades to have done so. In 1990, Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto gave birth while in power.
